Crown Machine 24” Casting / Laminating Stand:

·        Three casting rolls, 24” wide face x 18” diameter x 21” centers

·        Center roll raises and lowers from 42” center line height to 55” center line height

·        All rolls are spiral wound and cored for cooling with rotary joints

·        Rolls have 3.5” diameter shafts

·        Side frames are 2” thick

·        Rolls 1 and 3  are quick change design with split bearing hubs

·        Two unwind stations, single shaft with Horton air chucks to provide tension. This allows for laminating and extrusion coating of substrates

·        The first casting roll has a 6” diameter rubber nip roll that opens by 4” cylinders.

·        The second casting roll has a movable centerline from 42” to 55” to vary the wrap possibilities. A radiant heater is positioned over center roll, and the heater can be raised or lowered to allow for servicing the center roll.

·        A third casting roll is positioned on the 42” centerline for additional cooling.

·        Each casting roll has its own drive consisting of a 1 HP DC SCR drive through a gear reducer. All drives are electronically synchronized for line speeds from 1 to 100 ft./min.
