The screen changer itself and the hydraulic unit which operates the machine. In the screen changer unit is a slide plate which carries two breaker plates and screen packs, the seals, the housing or body, and the operating cylinder. When a screen change is required, the slide plate is hydraulically fired across the melt stream positioning the new screen pack in place.
